Announcement
Openings for Post-Doctoral Researcher and PhD Students

July 20, 2015

Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, USA, is soliciting applications from outstanding candidates for Postdoctoral and Ph.D. positions in Computational Mechanics of Materials and Integrated Computational Materials Science & Engineering.

Candidates must have a strong background and interest in computational solid mechanics, computational material science, physical sciences and mathematics.

US Citizenship or US permanent residency status is required for this position.

The researchers will be working with Prof. Somnath Ghosh in the US Air Force sponsored, Center of Excellence in Integrated Materials Modeling (CEIMM) at Johns Hopkins University. CEIMM is engaged in research in multi-scale (from atomistic to continuum) computational modeling of polycrystalline materials (e.g. metals and alloys) and polymer-matrix composite materials. CEIMM is jointly sponsored by the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) and Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL). CEIMM is creating a collaborative, multidisciplinary research and educational program to foster foundational advances in computational and experimental methodologies, supporting the Integrated Computational Materials Science and Engineering (ICMSE) theme.
