Data Science

Offered through Johns Hopkins Engineering for Professionals, which administers part-time and online graduate studies for the Whiting School of Engineering, the master’s degree in Data Science prepares students for specialized jobs involving all aspects of data science, from the data pipeline and storage to statistical analysis and eliciting the story the data tells.

The unique curriculum of the Data Science program emphasizes the field’s roots in both computer science, and applied and computational mathematics. With options to study online and on-site in state-of-the-art facilities like the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory, students learn from distinguished faculty members who are practicing engineers and data scientists. Students explore formal techniques and modern methodologies of abstraction to create models that can be automated to solve real-world problems.
