Arts & Sciences

The Zanvyl Krieger School of Arts and Sciences, our sister school on the Homewood campus, offers a wide array of areas of study, from the natural and social sciences to the arts and humanities. Innovation and discovery are hallmarks of an Arts and Sciences education at Hopkins, with an emphasis on the creation of new knowledge through research. Here, scholarship and research are truly collaborative undertakings, with students and faculty deeply engaged in innovative partnerships with other departments – and often, other divisions – of the university.

The School of Arts and Sciences offers more than 60 undergraduate majors and minors, 40 full-time graduate programs and a dozen part-time graduate programs. Engineering undergrads have the option to pursue double majors and minors in Arts and Sciences, or just take classes offered by our sister school. Similarly, Arts and Sciences students can pursue degrees and minors and take classes offered by the School of Engineering.
